What are the methods of mutual interference prevention in through-beam photoelectric sensors?

Company: Omron

There are four methods.

Method 1:  setting out of the parallel operation range. For parallel operation, first check the sensor emitter and receivers are correctly aligned and spaced apart, as per the product instructions.

Method 2:  the alternate arrangement. Two sets of emitters and receivers are mounted side by side, arranged emitter to receiver, and receiver to emitter. When the object being sensed is detected, then the first receiver will receive the light from the second sender, as it’s reflected off the object.

Method 3: by using a mutual interference prevention filter.

Method 4: mutual interference prevention by lowering the adjustable sensitivity (subject to the model being used).
