What type of inductive proximity sensor has the longest sensing distance?

Because non-flush sensors have a protruding sensing face, this allows the magnetic field to reach out from the front and sides. This results in a longer sensing, however, because the field is also wider, it does mean that extra spacing is required around the sensing face to prevent detecting metal items that are not the target. Please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for the correct installation.
