Most sensors have a good resistance to water and dust, but there’s a big difference between occasionally getting a sensor wet on land and continually using it underwater.
So, you should decide the environment it’s going to be used in and select the best sensor for it. For example, if you’re going to use the sensor in the sea, then the marine environment and water pressure are factors that will affects its reliability. It’ll then be necessary to use a subsea sensor for the depth you need, such as 6m, 600m 6000m, etc.
