Can 2-wire DC inductive proximity sensors be connected in series with each other?

We wouldn’t recommend it. Due to how a loop-powered sensor functions, any reduction in voltage or current may result in the sensor not operating correctly. So, connecting too many 2-wire sensors in series can be problematic.
