When selecting an inductive proximity sensor, what types of outputs are available?

Typically, they’re available with one of the following output options: NPN, PNP, 2-wire, relay contact, NAMUR, digital current, analogue current (eg. 4-20mA), analogue voltage (eg. 0-10V), AS-interface, and IO-Link.
