Automatically importing waveform data after each trigger with BenchVue Oscilloscope
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)SummaryBenchVue Oscilloscope’s Measurement / Trace Datalog feature can wait indefinitely for trigger events and automatically import waveform data after each trigger.QuestionCan BenchVue Oscilloscope wait for the scope to trigger and automatically import waveform data after each trigger?AnswerBenchVue Oscilloscope’s Measurement / Trace Datalog feature can wait indefinitely for trigger events and automatically import waveform data after each trigger. If the oscilloscope’s trigger mode is Normal (InfiniiVision) or Triggered (Infiniium) instead of the default Auto, it will wait indefinitely for trigger events: BenchVue allows the user to select the Normal or Triggered trigger mode under the Instrument Settings tab. In this mode, BenchVue waits for the oscilloscope to trigger before importing each waveform: Under the Measurement / Trace Datalog tab, you can set up BenchVue to automatically import waveforms after each trigger, as shown below. At the end of the run, you can export all the waveform data in your choice of formats. The attached example file was created by exporting a set of ten waveforms in Excel format. Note that each waveform has its own tab in the spreadsheet. AttachmentsMSO-X 3104T Trace Data Log 2020-04-23 08-13-24 1.xlsx
