BPS: How to access GUI when flash is EOL
Operational "How to" GuidesSummaryGuide on how to access older BPS software that would still require Flash (Versions 8.20.1 and below)DescriptionAs of December 2020 Adobe has officially made Flash EOL. BPS versions that are below 8.21 EA still utilize Flash in order for the GUI to function normally. This means that users will have issues accessing the GUI if they do not have the proper setup. Note: It is recommended to upgrade all BPS systems to the latest and greatest, respective versions at all times. Versions past 8.21 EA officially support HTML5 instead of Flash. In order to access their old systems, they need to do the following: 1. Download and install their respective, older version of Firefox here in this link (Be sure to disable auto-updates): https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/43.0.1/ 2. Download and install their respective Flash version here: https://ia803201.us.archive.org/view_archive.php?archive=/18/items/flashplayerarchive/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_32.0.0.371_archive.zip 3. Enter the BPS IP addrress, accept and confirm to run Flash, and there should be no issues with accessing the GUI From here the user can access the GUI as long as they enforce the Flash component every time. As mentioned previously it is recommended to upgrade them to at least 8.21 EA or above. The upgrade path is posted below in the BPS Release Notes on page 10: https://downloads.ixiacom.com/support/breakingpoint/3.0/updates/8.40.2/Release_Notes_8.40.2.pdf
