Can 3488A modules be used in the 3499A/B/C?

The 3499A/B/C is both hardware and software compatible with the 3488A plug-in modules.  The 3488A modules easily operate in the 3499A/B/C mainframes.  The 3499A/B/C can be programmed in either SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments) mode or 3488A mode. Upgrading from a 3488A to a 3499A doubles the channel capacity and lowers the cost per channel with no additional cost in modules.
