Can I connect a printer directly to the 34980A?

A printer cannot be connected directly to a 34980A for outputting readings or other data. Real time logging of data is possible by either saving the readings into the 34980A's memory (500K readings) for later retrieval (supports high data rates), or by saving each scan result into a PC that is connected to the instrument. The Intuilink application (add in toolbar for Microsoft Excel) for the 34980A can save scan results to a PC and then be output to a printer using Excel. Note: 34980A memory is volatile and is not saved if power is lost to the instrument. A UPS (uninterruptible power supply) of sufficient capacity is recommended if acquired data must not be lost before it is uploaded to a PC.
