Can I Use an Antenna on the RF IN/OUT Connector of My 8922?

The preferred method of testing a mobile phone is to use a direct coaxial cable connection to the test set RF IN/OUT connector. However, an antenna can be connected to the RF IN/OUT connector on the 8922 series of test sets. If you choose to do this, you must change the Expected Input Level field on the Cell Status Screen (bottom center of the screen). Changing this value to -10 to -30 dBm will increase the receive sensitivity of the test set and make the setup of a call more probable. If you use a direct conection, use the default value (+15 dBm) or if not a standard GSM phone, change it according to the expected output RF level of the mobile phone.
