Can I Install the New Electronic Attenuator Type Input Section in Any 8922x?

Not exactly. You will always have to use the older mechanical style input section for 8922A/Bs and for 8922E/Gs which have not been upgraded to later models, e.g. 8922F/Hs or 8922S/Ms.However, all 8922F/Hs (and instruments which have been upgraded to 8922F/Hs) will use the new input section. Firmware revision of B.06.06 or later is required but there are kits set up to include all the parts you require.Similarly, all 8922S/M and Dualband instruments (and instruments which have been upgraded to these) will use the new input section regardless of firmware revision.
