Can I connect new hardware to my 89601A software while it is running?

No. All instances of the 89601A software must be closed in order for 89601A to recognize additional measurement hardware. 89601A creates a hardware database when the first instance of the software is opened. All subsequent instances share the first database. The database is only erased when all 89601A applications are closed.
