Can I control the automatic power-on behavior of my Infiniium UXR/MXR-series oscilloscope when AC input power is applied?
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)SummaryThis article explains how to have the oscilloscope automatically power itself on (or not) when AC power is first applied, or after you power the unit off.QuestionCan I control the automatic power-on behavior of my Infiniium UXR/MXR-series oscilloscope when AC input power is applied?AnswerYes. In Infiniium versions 10.11.04711 and newer, there is an “Auto Power On” check box under Utilities à User Preferences. Checking this box causes the oscilloscope to automatically restart after input power has been removed and then reapplied: In Infiniium version 11.15.00001, the factory default “Auto Power On” setting became ON. That is, the box is checked by default, so the unit will always power itself on automatically when input power is present. A consequence of this is that the oscilloscope can never remain powered off when input power is present. Any time a user turns the unit off with the power button or by clicking “Shut down” from the Windows Start menu, it will reboot instead of powering off. Unchecking the “Auto Power On” box allows the unit to power off normally, as one would expect.
